The popular seaside town of Whitby is just 2 miles away from the accommodation and boasts a rich history, breathtaking scenery and a lovely harbour dotted with cafes, restaurants and bars. When you’re not lazing on the sand, look around the ruins of its ancient Abbey, which was said to inspire Bram Stoker’s gothic horror story, ‘Dracula’. Robin Hood’s Bay is just 3.5 miles away and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle. Other local attractions include Danby Lodge National Park Centre (14 miles), which is great for its walking trails and relaxing gardens, and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (22 miles).

Enter this quaint cottage and find yourself in the small vestibule, where you can drop down bags and kick off walking shoes. Enjoy a long soak in the bathtub in the ground-floor bathroom, which also features a shower and WC, before putting on your comfiest pyjamas and heading into the welcoming lounge. Take advantage of your incredible rural views and watch the horses grazing in their paddocks. Hunker down on the leather sofas and indulge in a good book or a classic box set on the Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen/diner is spacious and boasts all the appliances needed to create hearty breakfasts to set you up for your outings. There is also a handy dining table from which to enjoy mealtimes or rounds of cards. On the first floor, you will find two double bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature space for hanging clothes and are perfect for relaxing at the end of busy days.
